The year of 2014 has come to an end and when it comes to the various latest web design trends, it’s interesting to take a closer look to see which ones are here to stay for the upcoming year of 2015.

Web Design

Responsive or Nothing

Responsive is basically a new trend design that you cannot look over because it is taking over the advancement of the technology devices. Responsive has increasingly grown over the past few years. Although there are some people who want to get rid of the responsive design, it has not budged to go anywhere anytime soon. Many online websites are now incorporating the Responsive design because—well, it works, and no one truly wants to get rid of something that is working out; right?

Ghost Buttons

Ghost buttons can be seen used with a feature design that is known as Divi. Hover your mouse over it, click, and it works like a charm! Who could want to possibly get rid of such a nifty feature?—Not I! The ghost buttons really blend in well with background images that are large, as well as with videos.

The Growth of Typography

Typography adds to so many other featured web trends and there are various different things that allow this feature to stand out, making the web a more interesting and diverse place as it already is today. First and foremost there are many different fonts that come with this feature. The alternative option to use would be typefaces but since they are more expensive there are more web designers that lean more towards that use of typography. Typography also opens up more possibilities when web builders are using WordPress. WordPress is able to incorporate better themes, designs, and styles as well.

Background Images and Videos

Background images and videos are a web trend that never seems to get old. There is always something new and different when creating backgrounds and videos. These are powerful features that easily allow your website to stand out among the others. A video and a background have always been good about catching the attention of customers.

Scroll instead of Click

Mobile and touch screen web play a huge role in the reason people only have to scroll to look through various pages of a website rather than click on a button. It simply makes functions easier. You can actually save time and browse quicker when you use the scrolling feature over the clicking feature.

Card Design Tool

The Card Design tool is proven to be one of great success, and so it continues on with the rest of the web design trends. This tool is one that is great when working with sites that are Responsive. Cards are known to very versatile and clean which is why they are used.

Flat Design (Material Design) is on the Rise

For whatever reason, it has been recognized that flat design is quite popular this year and has been quite consistent in its popularity. It is going to continue being popular and well-used into the year of 2015. It should also transform more into material design as well.
